We will learn why self-directed investment funds are so powerful and so well liked by many investors along with some of the numerous opportunities and possibilities to invest in with those funds, Our speakers will share four ways to invest in real estate using self-directed funds, with or without a lender.
Non-recourse loans are loans made directly to the IRA with no recourse to the IRA owner beyond the collateralized asset. Your self-directed investment funds can be even more powerful when they are leveraged by pairing those dollars with non-recourse loan funds to increase the amount of money available to invest and provide a level of protection for the investment account owner in the process.

Chris Leighton, a fellow REIA Member, is the head of Underwriting at WADOT Capital and Director of Auction Finance of their sister company, KC Capital. With over 25 years in the business he brings a unique perspective to Hard Money lending. Chris spent the better part of his career on the other side of the table.
Chris started out selling real estate and has run brokerages, done rehabs, developed town homes and apartment communities and done small scale land development.

Chris Tanner is a fellow REIA Member and Senior Sales Manager at New Direction Trust Company, a Self-Directed IRA custodian. He has personally invested in real estate since 2006, and has assisted 1000''s of Self-Directed IRA investors with real estate investments since 2013.
Chris utilizes both a Self-Directed Roth IRA and Solo 401K to invest in real estate, notes, private equity, and tax liens. He has had amazing success and opportunity as a result of Self-Directed IRA investing, and he is passionate about sharing his knowledge.
He enjoys time with his family, travel, skiing, running, and golf.
